Mark Zuckerberg announced, on July 21st 2010, that Facebook has reached a MAJOR milestone of 500 Million active Facebook users from around the world. Facebook is really living up to their mission of helping make the world more open and connected with these kinds of numbers. When your talking about this amount of people on a social networking site, literally, everybody and there momma is on it.
To celebrate, Facebook is putting together a collection of stories from those who send in personal experiences about the impact Facebook has had on your lives. The application they created is called Facebook Stories. Feel free to stop by and share your own story and read hundreds of others. It is pretty neat some of the stories they already have in there. True inspiration for Facebook to stay grounded in their mission.

Although many of us dislike many of the stupid applications and get pissed when Facebook changes their layout, it is amazing to see where this company has gone within its 6 years of business.
