Research: Social Media Forums/Message Boards?

I have to say that I think I am a fairly good internet searcher or “Googler”, but for some reason I have not been able to find a legitimate social media forum or message boards. I can not seem to find a place that I can go in and chat and participate on this topic only. Forums are considered a piece of social media, but this industry itself seems to lack a social media forum

The reason I write this is so that maybe I can get some comments from some of you to help me out. Are you a part of any social media industry “forums” or “message boards” of some kind?
