Social Media Topic Strategy: Nutrition Supplement Store
Topic: Supplement Reviews
Content: There are thousands of supplements out there for fitness and dieting. It is hard to know which ones will work, which ones taste good, which price is best, and what others truly think about it. It would be a great idea to create a video blog to review supplements on your own, as well as review them with others. I don’t know how many times I have purchased protein powder to later figure out that it tasted like CRAP! I could have saved my money to purchase something that works equally as well and tastes great. I have also purchased supplements that didn’t do anything…. Was I taking it wrong, does it just not work??? I don’t know! I would like to see some videos from someone who knows what they are talking about to explain it to me and give me the ability to ask them.
All you have to do is select a specific product you hold in your store and give your opinion on it. If it is something you have not personally tried, try to find someone to interview who has tried it. If it is something like protein powder, maybe you can try it on the spot. If the product is something that may take a long time to test out, you can research results from other people and present your findings in an entertaining way. Once you cover all of your opinions and facts, you can give a full overview and maybe even give the product a rating.
Content: Ustream of Questions and Answers about all products covered that week. Give your opinion live with your viewers.
Give Away: Store coupons and maybe a free nutritional supplement guide.
Sell: Of course you are going to sell all of the nutrition products in your store, but you can also sell supplement guides/books. You can even become affiliates of exercise products that you recommend stacking with your products.
Market with social media: Distribute video episodes on 2-3 platforms. Take pictures of any guests and tag them in Facebook. Tweet everything! Create a Facebook Fan page with an RSS and YouTube application to automatically add your content. The person producing the content needs to join 1-2 solid nutrition/supplement forums and become the leading expert revolved around his content.
You should also make sure to let people in your gym know your website exists with business cards.
