I JUST saw one of the best ads ever on YouTube. Well, I guess I think it is one of the best ads because it was funny, cool, and could really happen in terms of social media. I’m talking about a little 30 second Wheat Thins ad that shows a “Street Team” identifying a twitter user that says “AAAHHHH Im outta wheat thins… Mi life is officially over!” The street team drives up to her house and delivers a pallet of wheat thins to the users door. How Cool!?!
Although this did not REALLY happen, I WISH it would have. The ad still shows you how a business can “Listen” to what people are saying, and then capitalize on it using multiple points of social media. How easy would it be to identify someone who spoke about your organization through social media and then come in with a BIG WOW factor!? Not only did you perform the action, but you got it all on film to show it of.
This is a very simple idea that should be copied by many! Talk about creating some buzz for your organization!
I hope we can convince some of our clients to do something like this.
